Caring 4 Pets offers personalized dog walking and/or play time for 'pet parents' who do not want to leave their pets alone for long periods of
time.
BENEFITS
Exercise done regularly maintains and improves a dog's health in countless ways.
Solves the concern of a dog having to "hold it" while pet parents are away from home for long periods of time.
Helps dogs learn to interact and socialize and with other dogs and people.
Removes the guilt you may feel by leaving your dog "cooped up" alone inside for long periods of time.
INDIVIDUAL DOG WALKS
BACKGROUND:
Whether one day a week or five days a week, give your pet a chance to get out and stretch his/her legs, interact and eliminate.
Your pet will enjoy a healthy walk, quality play time and the joys of affection, in addition to not having to "hold it".
Veterinary research indicates a pet should not "hold it" all day while you are at work.
It is detrimental to a dog's health and happiness.
Larger and more active dogs are also healthier and happier if they receive needed exercise daily.
A daily walk also helps dogs over six months old who should begin to receive basic training for walking on a leash.
BONUS: We will take your dog for a walk on their favorite route as long as it respects the Municipal By-Laws. We'll also
tailor this program to you and your dog's needs. The walks and play time can last from 15 minutes to one-hour long per
visit and can be as frequent as needed.
GROUP DOG WALKS
BACKGROUND:
Dogs are pack animals and they thrive on connection and interaction with others. Give your dog the gift of a "sibling" a few times a week without having to actually care for another dog in your home!
For group walks, your neighbourhood must have 3 dogs or more registered in the Group Walk Program.
If 3 dogs are not registered from one neighborhood, perhaps it's time to start talking to neighbors so the group walk becomes possible.
A group walk includes 3 to a maximum of 5 dogs walking together with a pet care provider for 15, 30 or 60 minutes.
BONUS: If available we will walk dogs in your neighborhood park or on nearby trails so they can have a healthy fresh air outing and plenty of fun together.
This program helps dogs learn to socialize with other dogs, in addition to maintaining or improving their health.
HOW IT WORKS
Pet parents must subscribe to our Ready-key Program.
We can schedule a mid-day visit to your house to let your puppy or puppies out, provide food, and play for a while.
As part of our commitment to provide the best possible service to pets under our care and as an added bonus to puppies subscribed to this program, we will work with your puppy on some basic obedience skills, using positive reinforcement methods, and introduce them to daily teeth rushing.
Puppy visits last 30 minutes and they can make a tremendous difference in your puppy's housetraining and happiness.
BENEFITS

Will help ensure pet parents don't come home and have to clean up an accident because the puppy or puppies were unable to eliminate outside.

ONE-ON-ONE PUPPY PAWS BREAKS
Caring 4 Pets can help you get your puppy or puppies off to a great start with personalized loving care, with the one-on-one attention and focus puppies require. From bathroom breaks, to brushing teeth, to reinforcing training, the Puppy Paws Breaks Program offers a one-stop shop to help you cope during those early months when puppies learn and grow so much.
Because of their growth spurts and a seemingly endless supply of energy, puppies should be allowed to eat as often as 3 times per day, all of which means they also need to drink plenty of water. But this puts extra stress on their small bladders so puppies need to be let out more frequently than adult dogs - something often difficult, if not impossible, when you are busy at work and unable to be at home more frequently.
Puppies left alone at home cannot be expected to 'hold it' all day, and when that happens they often learn that it's okay to eliminate in the house. This can cause housetraining to be more difficult and longer than necessary.
